On Sunday, January 29th it’s the Trail Blazers Kids Clinic – there will be FREE clinics (4) throughout the day so come and learn some skills from the Trail Blazers Youth Instructors! There will also be an appearance by Blaze and a Trail Blazer Alum from 2pm to 3pm!

Within this show feature you will be able to see, touch and feel the newest automotive technology in the market today, plus get a glimpse into what is coming in the future.

Inside the Tech Center you will find cutting edge technology in connected cars, electric vehicles, on site app downloads and live demonstrations with the folks from Mobile West. IMS will be onsite showcasing their connectivity and road usage app. Columbia Clean Cities Coalition and will have examples of the newest technology in electric vehicles and providing information on the green highway, while Solar City will be showcasing methods on how to incorporate solar into this great technology.

Find a great selection of vehicles from manufacturers like Audi, VW, BMW, Ford, Mercedes, Chevrolet, Smart, Fiat and you can even see the White Zombie EV drag car as well. The Tech Center is truly your spot to explore current and future technologies for cars, trucks and SUVS.

EV Showcase

OEVA EV Showcase

The Portland International Auto Show and the Oregon Electric Vehicle Association (OEVA) have partnered together to bring attendees a fun way to see and experience a large contingency of EV’s all in on location. OEVA is sponsoring the EV Showcase located in the Tech Center.

With over 5,000 square feet dedicated to the EV Showcase attendees can have a full hands on approach with electric vehicles from BMW, Mercedes, Audi, Chevrolet including the New Chevrolet Bolt, Smart, Fiat, Volkswagen, Ford, others. OEVA will have EV owners and EV experts on staff to answer questions about the various EV’s in the Showcase and educate folks on charging stations and EV Conversions. Another special EV joining the EV Showcase is the infamous White Zombie the fastest electric vehicle in Oregon.

To make the exhibit complete attendees can enter to win a $5,000 down payment on an EV.

One lucky Portland International Auto Show attendee will win a brand new 2017 Volkswagen Alltrack SEL with an MSRP of $34,040, equipped with a ReRack Whispbar Railbar rack system. The new Volkswagen will be giveaway by Metro Portland New Car Dealers Association in conjunction with the Pamplin Media Group. Attendees can enter at the Pamplin Media Group exhibit located next to the vehicle in the MLK JR lobby for a chance to win the 2017 Alltrack. During each of the four days of the show, attendees over 18 years of age can enter for an opportunity to be one of four finalists to participate in the New Car Giveaway event that happens live at the show at 5pm on Sunday January 29th, 2017. On Sunday the finalist will participate in the live New Car Giveaway event at the Pamplin Media Group exhibit where one lucky winner will draw the key fob that opens the 2017 Alltrack.

The M Experience

The M Experience

This year the Portland International Auto Show has joined forces with M Car Company for a total M Experience. An unbelievable line up of M Car Company vehicles from all over the world will be on display including a custom Cadillac Escalade ESV from M Executive Car services, exotics including a 2017 Maclaren 570GT, and true luxury vehicles including at Rolls Royce Wraith.

If you don’t think that is enough come talk with Marc and his team of experts on what services you need. Whatever you can envision for luxury and service from around the industry, M Car Company has it covered and showcased in the M Experience. While in the M Experience, be sure to enjoy some tasting at the Eastside Distilling tasting area.

Located in the north end of the main floor next to the Ferrari exhibit. You won’t miss it!

Electric Avenue

Did you know electric vehicles (EVs) can now drive over 200 miles on a single charge? Drive Oregon and local utility companies have partnered to create Electric Avenue, showcasing this news and the latest in EV technology. See innovations in EV charging stations and put them to the test by actually plugging them into vehicles in the exhibit. Take a seat in the lounge, charge up your device, and learn more from what manufacturers are offering in the EV segment with running footage on the big screens.

Experts will be on hand to discuss how to charge your EV, discuss how clean, renewable energy can power your commute, and the cost savings from driving electric. Electricity is the Clean Fuel Kiosks will also be positioned around the Convention Center where attendees can charge up their electronic devices while on the go and guide you back to the Electric Avenue. If this wasn’t reason enough to stop by, attendees can also participate in the EV Scavenger Hunt with some great prizes those who complete the mission.

Ferrari Race Team

Ferrari Race Team

The Portland International Auto Show and Ferrari have teamed up to change the traditional location and exhibit assets in the Ferrari space. It’s with great excitement the show is announcing Ferrari is moving to the main floor of the 2017 show, bringing in the Vital Speed Motorsports Ferrari Race team with their Race Semi Truck and Trailer filled with Ferrari race cars and gear from the track.

This exciting evolution is being complimented with an unbelievable line up of Ferrari’s plus attendees having the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a Ferrari California T Roadster for a photo. This rare opportunity is courtesy of Ron Tonkin Gran Turismo and the Ferrari exhibit will be located in the north end of the main floor.

The Lumberyard

The Lumberyard Sponsored by Carr Subaru

Tricks, flips, spins, and big air are all happening on bikes this year at the show. Bicycles have become an essential mode of transportation here in Portland, but they are also widely used for extreme sports. Sponsored by Carr Subaru, the Lumberyard Indoor Bike Park area will feature a new component this year with a giant air bag jump set up.

Attendees will see some crazy stunt demonstrations by both amateur and professional riders next to the Subaru exhibit. Additionally, kids from all ages can learn about safe biking on the mobile skills course. Stop by and register for your chance to win prizes including free admission to the bike park and see how your bikes will look on some racked up Carr Subaru vehicles.

Looking for luxury vehicles, looking for exotics you find each of these in the Luxury Lofts. This year the luxury and exotic vehicle line up are the largest on record. There are so many they consume over 65,000 square feet comprised of the Oregon and Portland Ball Rooms. The ball rooms are located on the second floor at the North and South ends of the Convention Center.

This year for the first time Land Rover and Jaguar are in a joint exhibit in the Oregon Ball Room. In the lofts you will find your favorites in luxury from brands like Audi, BMW, Mercedes, Porsche, Infiniti, Lexus, Volvo, Maserati and exotics like Rolls Royce, Bentley, Lamborghini, Ferrari, plus one of a kind exotics from personal collections.

The Honda VR Experience

The Honda VR Experience

The Northwest Honda Dealers have partnered with the Portland Intenational Auto Show and VR Motion to bring the very first Virtual Reality test drive of the 2017 Honda Civic Si. Participants will experience a full 360 degree view driving experience without ever leaving the race seat. From shifting gears, hearing the rev of the engine, buckling up, seeing the sky move thru the sun roof and side windows, and looking into the back seat, it’s all there and virtual. A truly can’t miss experience and glimpse into the future of test drives, all of the attributes of the new Civic Si will be at your finger-tips like never before.

The virtual test drive will be available at no charge during all open show hours, and will be open to all drivers on a first-come, first-served basis. Stop by the Honda booth for details, and get ready to experience the next generation of the test drive.

This spectacular event will be happening in the main Honda exhibit on the main floor of the show.

Kids Zone

Got kids? Are you a kid at heart? Either way this is the perfect area for all ages. From face painting and fake tattoos, to balloon artists to riding down the inflatable slide, kids will have the opportunity to make memories and have fun beyond experiencing all the newest vehicles. Also don’t miss the special kids snacks available next to the slide. All of this is located in the Holladay Lobby at the north end of the Convention Center.

By popular demand the Great Outdoors exhibit is back! This year FunTime RV is joining into the fun with bringing four units to showcase the many ways you can experience the Great Outdoors in style. The Great Outdoors features outdoor gear and vehicle accessories that can make any outdoor adventure possible. ReRack has racked up vehicles to showcase the latest and greatest for how you can accessorize any car to be ready for the outdoors. To help you see yourself in the outdoors, Next Adventure has built campsites around the exhibits to showcase nearly everything needed to enjoy a trekking the wilderness. While in the Great Outdoors make sure to visit enter a drawing for a chance to win gear from ReRack and Next Adventure.

It’s back by popular demand and we have it stacked with even more components than last year. The Race Garage truly has something for all ages. You’ll want to make sure to see this feature that showcases vehicles from all racing segments, engineering in racing with state of the art technology and some of the most outrageous cars you have ever seen.

The team from PRE Racing will show you their latest technologies in drift, rally and road racing, while the World of Speed will show the history of racing with a funny car dragster. Visit the Pro-tek area and see their latest creations in the American muscle race segment. In the AMSOIL area you can see the latest in race oil technology and two must see race vehicles. Don’t forget to take a turn at the Nascar oval and the race simulator, and take a test drive in a race car simulator from Victory Racing Camp.

In the Motorcycle Pavilion you will find the full line up of motorcycles, scooters and three wheeled vehicles for those looking to experience the open road. This year you can touch, sit on and feel the latest line up from manufacturers like Harley Davidson, Indian, Ducati, BMW, Kawasaki, Honda, Triumph, Yamaha, Suzuki, Vespa, Ural and the debut of the new Polaris.

You will find the Motorcycle Pavilion located across from the Dragon Café. While in the Motorcycle Pavilion enjoy watching video footage from manufacturers of each of these motorcycle lines in the lounge area.

It’s one of the most fun traditions at the show. Schnitzer Steel is promoting their best practices for being an environmentally friendly company focused on reducing their footprint especially when it comes to the auto category. Back by attendee request is the Axial Remote Control Rock Climbing event. Ryan Gerrish and the Axial racing team will be on site each day of the show providing you an opportunity to show off your driving skills at taking rock climber RC vehicles over a custom built course that resembles the trails available in Portland. This is truly fun for all ages.

The Portland Auto Show is excited to announce a new partner and a first in its category. PIAS has formed a relationship with Eastside Distilling as the Beverage sponsor of the Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party. A local business, Eastside Distilling will be providing adult beverages for attendees the night of the Sneak Peek.

For the Auto Show component Eastside Distilling will be on site hosting a sampling of their products and selling bottles during the hours of the show each day. The Eastside Distilling tasting exhibit/lounge will be located within the Ferrari and M Car Company exhibits on the main floor of the show at the north end.

Ally Trivia Challenge

Ally Trivia Challenge

Ally Financial is back to test attendees knowledge inside the Ally Trivia Challenge. Attendees will have three minutes to answer as many questions as possible and they will have three strikes before their time is up. So you don’t think all the questions are easy there are five levels with each level increasing in difficulty, but they are worth more points. The player with the highest score over the four days of the show will win a grand prize of four tickets to a Portland Trailblazers game at the Lexus Level with parking.

Attendees can play as many times as they want over the four days of the show. After doing some Trivia you can sit in the Ally Customer Appreciation Lounge, charge up your electronics, watch some funny Ally commercials and learn about Ally’s $250 down payment assistant program happening at the show. Test your skills and get money for a down payment better make your way to the Ally Trivia Challenge at the MLK entrance to the main floor across from the Motorcycle Pavilion.
