Jim Pierce says he and his family regularly attend the annual shows produced by the Metro Portland New Car Dealers Association, which hosted the party. And this year, he won the raffle for a 2017 Audi A4 at the Sneak Peek Charity Preview party that kicked off the 2017 Portland International Auto Show on Jan. 25. Jim and his wife Maeva of Camas, Washington were first-year attendees at the party and honored guests of EC Company. They were presented with their car last weekend at Audi Beaverton, which was a sponsor of the party this year and the dealer who provided the car for the raffle. Congratulations to Eric Vrublevskiy for winning the Great Outdoors Gear Giveaway! Inside the Great Outdoors feature at the 2017 Portland International Auto Show attendees had to guess closest to the retail value price for the Whispbar WB700 Cargo Box and the gear inside the cargo box. This year Eric from Portland took home the prize with a guess that was only $10.83 away from the actual retail cost. Each year at the Portland International Auto Show, the Metro Portland New Car Dealers Association and Pamplin Media Group partner to give away a new vehicle to one lucky attendee. This year's prize was a 2017 Volkswagen Golf Alltrack SEL. The winner was chosen on the final day of the show, which ran from Jan. 26 to 29 at the Oregon Convention Center. "The funnest part of our show is giving the car away," said Greg Remensperger, Executive Vice President of the Metro Portland New Car Dealers Association. Show-goers entered the drawing throughout the weekend, and at the end of each day, a finalist was selected at random. The Sneak Peek Charity Preview Party, one of the hottest tickets in town, is the official kickoff of the 2017 Portland International Auto Show (PIAS). Presented on Wed., Jan. 25, 6:30 – 9:30 pm, the event is resplendent with more than 500 new cars and trucks, many seen for the first time in the Northwest market. The Great Outdoors returns to the Portland International Auto Show (PIAS), and will be featured on the main show floor, fitting for an exhibit that exemplifies the Oregon lifestyle. The show runs Thurs. Jan. 26 to Sun., Jan. 29 at the Oregon Convention Center. This year, the Great Outdoors will feature a new partner, Funtime RV, which will display four units that add a bit of style to the camping experience. The Portland International Auto Show (PIAS) and NW Honda Dealers have partnered with VR Motion to bring the first Virtual Reality test drive of the 2017 Honda Civic SI to the show, Jan. 26 – 29, at the Oregon Convention Center. Attendees will be treated to a virtual 360-degree view of the car’s interior as they take it on a test drive, experiencing the feel of the vehicle without leaving the hall. As participants shift the gears and hear the rev of the engine, they can check out the view through the sunroof and side windows.
